Pessimets Ticket Giveaway Winner!

Congratulations to Peter D, the winner of the first ever Pessimets ticket giveaway!! I will send an email to the one you posted with. Once confirmed I’ll email you the tickets. Enjoy the game! There were 18 individuals who made posts answering the question, if you posted twice I took your first response. After the game was over tonight, I asked my wife to pick a number from 1-18 and she picked 16. Peter D was the 16th person to post their worst loss ever. I hope everyone who posted continues to follow pessimets and continues to post. I really enjoyed reading all your memories, I thank you all for that, hopefully posting them was somewhat therapeutic.  The funniest memory post has to go to Charles Dougherty and his leather vest story.

Personally the worst loss I’ve attended had to have been last year’s season finale. It obviously not only elminated us but also was the final game at beloved Shea Stadium. It hurt so much I couldn’t stick around to watch the festivities honoring the great Mets of the past. Although I did watch it later on TV. The build up to the loss was the worst part, after Johan’s gem Saturday we were set up for dissapointment once again. After the game I couldn’t watch baseball till this spring.

Thanks for the tickets! It was my first visit to see the Mets at Citi Field and turned out to be quite the game. Johan looked on pace to strike out everyone until he started to not get any called strikes in the fourth. Happy to see him get the win. Gary Sheffield continues to provide offense and Daniel Murphy should be getting free sandwiches thanks to the number of replays featuring the Subway sign. Some of the unexpected but Pessimet appropriate sights – David Wright striking out four times, Fernando Martinez not running out the pop-up that was dropped, Johan walking in a run.

Thanks again. Looking forward to seeing more great Mets news on the site and seeing more great games at Citi Field.

    Peter D.
