Fernando Martinez was optioned back to the minors. He needs to play every day anyway. The Mets did make a move with the Padres before the game. Not exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned in my prior post that Omar should contact the Padres. Instead, Omar brought in another lefty Arturo Lopez for the bullpen, claimed off of waivers. That jersey is among the worst ever worn by a major league team. Though now that I think about they also had a vest style jersey that was even worse. Keith was just ragging on the Rays’ current jerseys, but they’re about 1000 times better.
