The old timer Jamie Moyer looked like he was twenty years younger as the Mets lost to the Phils 4-1. Again no offense, the only run the Mets scored came off the bat of the pitcher Fernando Nieve. Nieve kept the Mets in the game, but the offense once again couldn’t muster much at all. And our friend, shoddy defense came back. Shoddy likes to show up at inopportune times and always wears out his welcome. Two errors by Wright and Santos prolonged an inning and led to the fourth Philly run. I don’t care what Rollins is batting on the season, he will always kill us.

Well we’ve lost seven out of our last nine games now. Ugly, ugly and more ugly. Three games back again and two games under .500. Johan tomorrow vs. Blanton at 1:35p.
