I agree with you guys. It’s almost like switching a lefty with a righty, but Frenchy is 6 yrs younger.

Now hopefully the next step is signing Halladay!

I guess, at this point, why the hell not? I’ve always been a Church fan, but we already know what we’re gonna get out of him… with Frenchy, there’s much more upside.

Not exactly a blockbuster, but I don’t think we can expect a lot more from the Mets right now. I always liked Church but I guess the Mets didn’t, so I don’t see this as much of an upgrade. Francoeur was very highly thought of only a few years back and has a cannon for an arm, so maybe he can still put it together, but anyone who expects that he’s the missing piece is probably going to be disappointed. Interesting to see a trade within the division.
