Well so much for trying to win a series, the Mets got pounded Thursday night 11-2. by the Dodgers. I went to the game and it was over before I got to my seat, literally. I walked in, in the bottom of the first inning and saw the score was 4-0. In hindsight, I really just should have left at that point.

Livan Hernandez who was probably our most consistent starter has been like an asteroid recently. He’s coming crashing back down to earth, losing four straight games.

Hoping to change his fortunes and avoid yet another no-decision, Wolf (4-3) switched Wednesday from jersey number 21 to 43—the digits he used to wear with Philadelphia. He could have worn a jersey without a number at all and still cruised the Mets lineup. For the record, per MetsBlog Fernando Tatis was 2-28 against Randy Wolf in his career while Dan Murphy is batting .317 against lefties this season.

Notes: Reports out of the DR are that Pedro Martinez has signed a $4 million dollar deal with the Phillies.

It’s so deflating to see 4-0 on the scoreboard before you even sit in your seat, because sadly, you know the game is over for the Mets. A special shout out to the dirty dozen in section 530 aka the Mets hooligans for starting a Pessimets chant amongst the many chants they started. I had more fun up there than actually watching the game.  Friday night it will be Fernando Nieve vs. Bronson Arroyo.
