Bobby Parnell will matchup against new Phillie ace Cliff Lee today at 1:10p. Lee has allowed only one run in his first four starts with the Phillies since being acquired from the Cleveland Indians. He’s 7-0 with a 1.09 ERA since the all-star break. Bobby Parnell was roughed up in his last outing, allowing nine runs in three innings vs. the Braves.
After seeing the Mets hit into an Unassisted triple play yesterday I said to myself I don’t think things could get much worse this season. I’m sure I’m wrong of course. Like I said, I’m still waiting for them to be no-hit by someone. One of the most entertaining aspects of today’s game will be in section 530. They are loud, rowdy, drunk and proud, they are the Dirty 530. A group of approximately fifteen die hard Met fans who had the opener pack. If the game is out of reach they still find a way to have fun. Which is what it’s all about anyway.
Today is also the Mets kid dash day. Kids get to run around the bases after the game. I always wish I could have done this as a kid. For a kid who loves baseball I’n sure it’s a dream come true. I’m only 29, so I’ll have to wait till the Senior stroll to round those bases now.

It‘s quite in here! Why not leave a response?
