The Mets also announced that Darryl Strawberry, Doc Gooden, Davey Johnson and Frank Cashen will be inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame.
Took them long enough. Doc and Darryl are names that are just as synonamous with this organization as Tom Seaver is. Although Doc and Darryl will never make it to the MLB Hall of Fame they deserve to be in the Mets HOF even if they never reached their full potential as major leaguers and were ultimately disappointments due to their drug use. Here’s the rest of the Mets Hall of Fame, it’s been almost 8 years since the last inductee. Photo www.loge13.com
