Yes, Slomar is like the frat guy who gets to the keg party late and all of the drunken high quality box is taken. He is stuck to choose from the un-wanted mess, or to not make a choice and have his cock in his hand until the next party (all star break).

Also I can’t count out the possibility of what you predicted yesterday Dom. “Omar will probably deal F-Mart for Sheets at the all star break after the A’s tank, and then Sheets’ arm will fall off a week later after posting good numbers for the first half. ” (sloppy seconds anyone ?)

Actually I did want to see Tatis back, but not as a platoon player. I think that he is a solid bench player for the price, and that there is far worse out there. If the bench is Tatis, Cora, Pagan and Matthews that is a solid start. However none of them can pitch.

Which brings up the comedy of Omar playing hardball with Smoltz now too..

As someone living outside of NY, there is one decision that Omar has definitely helped me with during the last 3 Aprils and that is whether or not to order the baseball package so that I could see the Mets. Thanks again Slomar. Looks like this yr may be a negatory on that one as well !!!

There was a little early chatter around Pedro but I cant see that happening….Chin Mien is scheduled to throw for teams so we’ll see…Id be interested to see what Wang has because he may come cheap…

I am going to point out the big elephant in the room … a certain mr.Pedro Martinez. Is Chien-Ming Wang still on the board … for some reason I see the Mets wanting a big name, even if he’s washed up. For me, I won’t mind over paying a little for John Smoltz. I think the Cubs what Sheets, but I could be wrong.
