Subway Series

I don’t know about you guys but the regular season Subway series has lost a little juice for me. It’s just not as exciting any more especially when the Mets are struggling. I don’t think any of the games this weekend got sold out either.

That being said, once 7:10 rolls around it will still be fun. Hisanori Takahashi will get the nod in his first MLB start. Luis Castillo is a little banged up and won’t go tonight. He can’t drop any pop ups that way either.

Here’s the Mets Lineup:

Jose Reyes, SS
Alex Cora, 2B
Jason Bay, LF
Ike Davis, 1B
David Wright, 3B
Angel Pagan, CF
Rod Barajas, C
Jeff Francoeur, RF
Hisanori Takahashi, P

Here’s a great Subway Series Met moment to remember. Who could ever forget 2005 Dae Sung Koo

Once again we arrive at the subway series but the 7 train isn’t running on schedule and is not making every stop (what else is new?). Luckily for the Mets their Bronx brethren are also stumbling by their standards, so what a time for the two clubs to meet and fight it out for New York supremacy as we fans temporarily forget about the records. Beating up on the Mets really will not benefit the Yankees, but it would be a real boost to the fans of the Orange, Blue and White. Currently tied at a game a piece the rubber game will either leave a manager looking over his shoulder at his job or a championship team putting another series under their belt.

Nice commentary Glo…this game does mean a lot more to the mets than yanks as the Mets head into a matchup with the 1st place phils later in the week
