Mets Bounce Back Again

I’ve said it before but you really have to love the way this team continues to bounce back after tough losses. Tonight they got a tremendous performance out of Miguel Batista and went onto win 3-1 vs. a beat up Brewer team.

I’ll be the first guy to admit that I have had no faith in Batista but he came through tonight with 7 shut out innings and at this point deserves to continue to be the 5th starter.

The suicide squeeze for the Mets second run executed by Cedeno and Murph was a thing of beauty. Pure baseball.

On the downside Frank Francisco continues to struggle, he let up a run in the 9th and let the tying. I can’t believe Terry stuck with him. It’s only a matter of time before he’s out of the closer role. I don’t like it at all.

Another solid bounce back win, Greinke vs. Gee tomorrow weather permitting.
